Daniela Guzmán is originally from Bogotá, Colombia. She grew up in Miami listening to Colombian folk music, salsa, cumbia, bossa nova and samba. Her love for Brazilian music led her to learn Portuguese, which opened doors for her academically and professionally in Brazil. There, she discovered a whole world of Brazilian music and vocal tradition. She is passionate about learning about different cultures through music, language, and stories. She is a graduate of University of Florida and Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
